Purpose:

The Account Manager (AM) reports to the Senior Account Manager (Team Lead)  and serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients from program launch through ongoing partnership. The AM is responsible for driving client engagement by partnering closely with stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that increase program participation and adoption.

This role plays a critical part in managing client relationships, proactively addressing issues or concerns, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction to support renewals and long-term retention. While revenue-focused, the Account Manager is equally accountable for delivering a positive client experience and fostering trust-based relationships.

The AM is a customer-focused problem solver who effectively manages negotiations and collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment. Through thoughtful relationship management and strategic engagement, the Account Manager helps build durable, long-term client partnerships that drive mutual success.

Essential Functions:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Demonstrates the ability to be strategic with existing clients to maintain and increase program adoption
  • Responsible for a book of business with the ability to present innovative ideas that drive up enrollments
  • Develops and oversee customer retention campaigns
  • Engagement with customers will vary from daily to monthly depending on time of year
  • Must be able to learn and recognize triggers based on customer behaviors and implement solutions to manage these triggers and behaviors for a positive customer relationship
  • In conjunction with the sales team engage with customers who request to terminate or downsize services to find workable solutions for retention
  • Ability to understand the client’s budget and recommend programs that are aligned with customer needs
  • Responsible for running and developing reports, interpreting the data, and developing presentations for the leadership team
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our programs according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external customers
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in Health and Benefits, or digital industries.

General Working Conditions:

General office working conditions can be remote work from home or in the office. Each department head determines if position is work from home or hybrid meaning works from home and in the office as needed. Work schedules vary. When working in the office pod workstation area has little or no privacy. Involves extended periods of sitting at a workstation performing computer duties. Constant flow of interruptions by personnel, visitors to the area and telephone calls. Private workstations are available as needed. Certain positions are assigned an office.
